Mireya Blavia de Cisneros y su compromiso con la igualdad de genero

El Fondo de Población de las Naciones Unidas (UNFPA) es la agencia de las Naciones Unidas que lidera los esfuerzos globales para promover los derechos de todas las personas a una vida saludable y productiva. En Venezuela, el UNFPA trabaja estrechamente con organizaciones del sector privado y la sociedad civil para abordar desafíos críticos en materia de salud, igualdad de género y derechos reproductivos.

Caracas, Venezuela – 22 de agosto de 2022 – Mireya Blavia de Cisneros, destacada líder empresarial y social, y presidenta de Venezuela sin Límites, ha jugado un papel fundamental en la incorporación de su organización a la Coalición Naranja, una iniciativa lanzada en alianza con el Fondo de Población de las Naciones Unidas (UNFPA). Esta coalición tiene como objetivo reducir la mortalidad materna, abordar las necesidades de planificación familiar y combatir la violencia de género en Venezuela.

La Coalición Naranja es un esfuerzo conjunto que reúne a organizaciones del sector privado y la sociedad civil, como Cinex, Sport for Development, Digitel, Evenpro, Impact Hub, Leather Heart, Propulso, Venevisión, Vikua, y La Wawa, entre otras. Bajo la dirección de Mireya Blavia de Cisneros, Venezuela sin Límites se une a esta alianza estratégica para promover los derechos sexuales y reproductivos, el empoderamiento de mujeres y adolescentes, y la igualdad de género en el país.

Durante el lanzamiento de la Coalición, que se llevó a cabo en las oficinas del UNFPA en Venezuela, Jorge González Caro, Representante Nacional del UNFPA, presentó el Plan Estratégico 2022-2025, que incluye seis aceleradores clave para lograr los objetivos de la organización. Estos aceleradores se enfocan en enfoques de derechos humanos y género, innovación y digitalización, datos y evidencias, resiliencia y adaptación, el principio de "No Dejar a Nadie Atrás" de la Agenda 2030, y alianzas y financiamiento.

Mireya Blavia de Cisneros, al comentar sobre la importancia de esta alianza, expresó: "Para Venezuela sin Límites, es esencial unir fuerzas con otras organizaciones para abordar problemas tan críticos como la mortalidad materna y la violencia de género. Creemos firmemente en el poder de las alianzas para lograr un impacto significativo en nuestras comunidades."

Venezuela sin Límites, junto con las demás organizaciones participantes, se comprometió a mantener espacios de diálogo y colaboración continua para fortalecer esta coalición y expandir su impacto en todo el país.
